largest lineup of beach and super party events for people of color which will occur all throughout 2007. There are over 200
events schedule for this year. Unless otherwise notated all events will carry a
minimum of 5,000 to over 1,000,

BARBADOS JAZZ FESTIVAL - PAINT IT JAZZ
Place: Barbados

Comments: There will be cool jazz on warm Caribbean shores when Barbados hosts the thirteenth annual Barbados Jazz Festival from January 8-14, 2007. The Barbados Jazz Festival, which celebrates the best in international and local jazz talent, has become a major annual Caribbean event. Venues typically include the modern Sir Garfield Sobers Sports Complex, historic Sunbury Plantation House, and the popular open air venue, Farley Hill National Park.

Comments: The Air Jamaica Jazz & Blues Festival. 2007 will mark the 10th year anniversary for this prestigious festival. Over the years, the festival has grown from small audiences of 3000 to its largest audience ever in 2006, which totaled over 40,000 for the period of the festival.

Comments: The largest party in the world. Every entertainer, athlete, celebrity and more will converge in Detroit for this event. Every club and party will be jammed packed. Not only that, but this year is going to be completely different compared to previous super bowl events. It's going to all go down in Miami, Florida. Now do you have any idea what's going to happen when the #1 party event meets the #1 party city?
BLACK SKI SUMMIT 2007

Comments: The largest black ski event in the world. It is the largest event for black ski enthusiast. Thousands of skiers from all over the world from over 75 different clubs make plans to witness and take part in world's largest black skit event. Dozens of celebrities, entertainers and parties makes this a unique way to meet others for one of the largest annual African American events in the country.
THE PRO-BOWL

Comments: The best NFL players of the season gather for a traditional Pro Bowl game. Weekend full of warm weather, exciting events and plenty of get togethers. On Satuday, Feb. 10, 2007, the best players from the AFC will face their counterparts from the NFC in the Pro Bowl. Set in Honolulu's 50,000-seat Aloha Stadium on the Hawaiian Island of Oahu, the Pro Bowl offers picture-perfect playing conditions against a backdrop of blue skies, clear water, and swaying palm trees.

38TH ANNUAL NAACP IMAGE AWARDS

Comments:The NAACP Image Awards are an exciting, star-studded salute to the best in entertainment. Honorees, presenters and performers have included many of the major celebrities in America as well as international political figures and dignitaries. There are 36 competitive categories in the fields of motion picture, television, music and literature. There are also several honorary awards including the Chairman’s Award, The President’s Award and The Image Awards Hall of Fame.
The NAACP Image Awards originally aired late night for eight years in the “Saturday Night Live” time slot on the NBC Network. Since 1996, the NAACP Image Awards have been shown in primetime on the FOX network where they have become a major programming event.

Comments: A super hot spring break event. Two years ago, BET brought the event to Daytona, then it moved With over 20 acts, BET has the largest lineup of performing artist then any other event throughout the year. Since it will be taped for a BET special, all concerts are FREE.
BLACK COLLEGE REUNION 2007 - BLACK BEACH WEEK

Comments: It's been called the KING of black beach week events for spring breakers. 50,000 - 75,000 participants will all converge in Daytona for some off the wall beach parties, concerts and street festivals. 2007 will explode as dozens of planned and unplanned.

Comments: The City's Signature Event is the Annual Jazz & Blues Festival held on the municipal beach the last week-end of March each year.
