The third Annual Sashi concert held on August 26, 2001 at James Bond Beach was definitely an event to remember. Located just outside beautiful Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the venue played host to over 15,000 music lovers who got hyped up on the sights and sounds of hip hop, reggae, and R & B.
We couldn't fit all the fun and excitement into just one day, so we had to make room for the party to grow. Beginning on August 22nd the event included five days of diverse activities leading up to the grand finale, the crown jewel of Caribbean concerts…Sashi!
In its third year, Sashi was the only event of its kind that was dedicated to bringing the hottest most smokin' musical acts direct from the U.S. into the warm waters and tropical landscapes of the Caribbean. Slammin' acts like P Diddy, Shabba Ranks, and Tyrese, graced the shores of Jamaica with their cutting edge music.
It was an all-star event that showcased some of the most influential musical acts on the scene today.
