Do I Need A Travel Passport Do Enter The Island?
You can enter the Bahamas without a passport.( If you are a U.S. citizen) You still need a copy of your birth certificate and another form of ID such as a driver license to enter.Please note that this is the last year that you will be able to travel without a travel passport. On December 31, 2005 the procedure will change where it will become mandatory to have a travel passport to travel to any areas outside the U.S.
