The Event: Beach Party Weekend A.K.A Kappa Beach Party The Place: Galveston, Texas Expected Attendance: 200,000 The Date: April 20-22, 2001 SO HOW WAS THE EVENT LAST YEAR? It was the best Kappa Beach Party in 20 years. It was estimated over 200,000 participants were apart of the first organized effort to make this event the new #1 black beach event in the world. So many FINE ladies in those thongs that all the fellas love to see and the fellas were holdin it down also with the rides and came muscled up especially for the ladies. The concerts of Genuwine, Too Short, Luke, EightBall and MJG, Case, 3-Six Mafia, Mystical were off the chain. Then we all got our freak on..in the clubs, the beaches, the streets, the cars and wherever. There were vendors for miles selling T-Shirts, food, crafts and etc. You name it, they had it.
