The Jones Beach Greekfest Weekend, New York’s premier African-American summer festival, often referred to as the Greekfest, is one of the largest events in the nation, targeting members of Historically Black Greek Letter Organizations, and college students and alumni from Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
Now in its 19th year, the Greekfest has continued its annual growth attracting over 100,000 participants to the weekend long affair filled with stepshow competitions, an all-day diversity career expo, concerts, festivals, sporting events, and additional beach activities.
The Greekfest is more than just a Saturday at the Beach. Hosted the last weekend of every June, it is dedicated to “Celebrate the academic and professional achievements and talents of members of Historically Black Greek Letter Organizations”.
In an effort to fulfill this objective, National Greek Network, Inc., the producers of the Greekfest, provide a mature and safe environment where patrons may indulge in networking, while enjoying and taking advantage of a wide array of performances and value added opportunities.
This year’s Greekfest is set to begin Friday, June 28th and conclude on Sunday, June 30th, marked with beginning of the "new" Greekfest - a family affair.
It is the intention of the producers of the Greekfest, in conjunction with Nassau County and New York State Parks Department officials, to move things progressively forward in sustaining a weekend of fun-filled and safe events for you.
This year’s Greekfest will embrace “change”.
