BRAZIL APARTMENTS We only recommend getting a hotel if you are part of a tourist group or going with your girlfriend/wife. Single guys should NOT get a hotel. Why? Hotels usually do not allow guest in hotels unless you pay an outrageous charge. Some even make you reserve another hotel room just to have guest. That is a bunch of crap. We recommend obtaining a short term 3-5-7-10 day temporary apartment. Apartments are alot larger then hotels and you are allowed to have as many guest as you want. They are all over Rio. Copacabana apartments close to the beach are the best for first time Brazil travelers because it is right near all the action. It's your apartment. There is nothing more maddening then going out, meeting a very attractive super hot woman, bringing her back to your hotel and being stopped by hotel security and refusing to let her in like you are a sneaky 16 year old. As a single male, only obtain apartments for your vacation. That way, you never have that problem.
